This Font Software is licensed, not sold.
By purchasing or using this font, you agree to the following terms.

1. Licensor

The fonts are published under the name SCHFONTS by:

2. License Holder

The license is granted to the purchasing individual or legal entity (“Licensee”).
The font may be used by the Licensee’s employees and contractors working on its behalf.
You may use the font for client work, including logos and branding.

There is no limit on the number of workstations, users or seats. Install the font wherever your team needs it.

The license is non-exclusive and may not be transferred to a third party. It does transfer with the sale of the Licensee’s entire business, provided we are notified in writing.

3. License Types

Standard

The Standard License allows you to use the font for:

• Logos and branding
• Print (books, magazines, packaging, posters, etc.)
• Advertising and marketing
• Social media and digital graphics
• Websites and webfonts
• PDFs and static digital documents

The font may be used for commercial client projects.
The font may not be used for:

• Apps, games or software
• E-books or digital publications for sale
• Products where the font is embedded and distributed
• Broadcasting or streaming

Extended

The Extended License includes everything in the Standard License and additionally allows use for:

• Apps, games and software
• SaaS platforms and digital tools
• E-books and digital publications
• Templates, themes and digital products
• Broadcasting, streaming, film and TV
• Any product or service where the font is embedded and distributed

4. Single, Family & Variable Fonts

Single Font

A Single license covers one selected static font style, for example Bold or Italic.

Font Family

A Family license covers all styles in the font family and includes all future updates and additions to that family at no extra cost.

Variable Font

A variable font is a single file that contains the entire design space of a family — every weight, width and instance in between. It is therefore licensed and priced as a family, and is offered as its own purchase option.

A Single license never covers the variable font, and a Family license covers the variable font only where it is expressly included in the purchased option.

5. Webfont Use & Hosting

Webfont use is unlimited. We do not meter pageviews, we do not sell traffic tiers, and you never have to report your numbers to us. This applies to both the Standard and the Extended License.

In return, you host the font files yourself, on your own server or infrastructure. Third-party font hosting services — including but not limited to Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts or similar platforms — are not permitted.

That requirement is not an inconvenience we impose lightly: it means we never see your visitors, and you never have to explain us in your privacy policy. The fonts must be embedded in a way that prevents users from downloading or extracting the font files.

6. Ethical Use

The Font Software may not be used in any way that promotes or supports:

• racism
• discrimination
• hate
• violence
• or any form of dehumanizing, degrading or extremist content

Any such use is strictly prohibited and entitles us to terminate this license with immediate effect.

7. Restrictions

You may not:

• Share, sell, sublicense or redistribute the font files
• Upload the font to third-party platforms for others to download
• Use the Font Software to create, derive or distribute another typeface or font product
• Modify, reverse-engineer or rename the font files without our written permission
• Claim the font as your own work

8. Warranty & Liability

We take care that the fonts are technically sound and free of defects. If a file is faulty, tell us and we will fix or replace it.

Beyond that, we are liable without limitation only for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only where an essential contractual obligation is breached, and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Statutory rights of consumers remain unaffected.

9. Term & Termination

This license is valid indefinitely.

If you breach these terms, we will ask you to put it right and give you a reasonable period to do so. Only if the breach is not remedied within that period may we terminate the license. The Ethical Use clause in section 6 is the exception: a breach there entitles us to terminate immediately.

After termination you must stop using the Font Software and delete all copies in your possession.

10. Ownership

The font remains the intellectual property of the Licensor.
This license grants usage rights only.

11. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where the Licensee is a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive them of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.

Where the Licensee is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.

Mit dem Kauf oder der Nutzung dieser Schrift erkennst du die folgenden Bedingungen an.

2. Lizenznehmer

Die Lizenz wird der kaufenden natürlichen oder juristischen Person erteilt („Lizenznehmer“).
Die Schrift darf von Angestellten des Lizenznehmers und von Auftragnehmern genutzt werden, die in seinem Auftrag arbeiten.
Die Nutzung für Kundenprojekte ist zulässig, einschließlich Logos und Markenauftritten.

Die Zahl der Arbeitsplätze, Nutzer oder Lizenzplätze ist nicht begrenzt. Installiere die Schrift überall dort, wo dein Team sie braucht.

Die Lizenz ist einfach und nicht ausschließlich und darf nicht an Dritte übertragen werden. Sie geht auf den Erwerber über, wenn der gesamte Geschäftsbetrieb des Lizenznehmers verkauft wird, sofern uns dies schriftlich mitgeteilt wird.

3. Lizenzarten

Standard

Die Standard-Lizenz erlaubt die Nutzung der Schrift für:

• Logos und Markenauftritte
• Druckerzeugnisse (Bücher, Magazine, Verpackungen, Plakate und Ähnliches)
• Werbung und Marketing
• Soziale Medien und digitale Grafiken
• Websites und Webfonts
• PDFs und statische digitale Dokumente

Die Schrift darf in kommerziellen Kundenprojekten eingesetzt werden.
Die Schrift darf nicht genutzt werden für:

• Apps, Spiele oder Software
• E-Books oder digitale Publikationen, die verkauft werden
• Produkte, in die die Schrift eingebettet und mit denen sie verbreitet wird
• Rundfunk oder Streaming

Extended

Die Extended-Lizenz umfasst alles aus der Standard-Lizenz und erlaubt zusätzlich die Nutzung für:

• Apps, Spiele und Software
• SaaS-Plattformen und digitale Werkzeuge
• E-Books und digitale Publikationen
• Templates, Themes und digitale Produkte
• Rundfunk, Streaming, Film und Fernsehen
• Jedes Produkt und jede Dienstleistung, in die die Schrift eingebettet und mit der sie verbreitet wird

4. Einzelschnitt, Familie & Variable Font

Einzelschnitt

Eine Einzellizenz umfasst einen ausgewählten statischen Schnitt, zum Beispiel Bold oder Italic.

Schriftfamilie

Eine Familienlizenz umfasst alle Schnitte der Schriftfamilie und schließt sämtliche künftigen Aktualisierungen und Ergänzungen dieser Familie ohne Aufpreis ein.

Variable Font

Ein Variable Font ist eine einzelne Datei, die den gesamten Gestaltungsraum einer Familie enthält — jede Strichstärke, jede Breite und alle Zwischenstufen. Er wird deshalb wie eine Familie lizenziert und bepreist und als eigene Kaufoption angeboten.

Eine Einzellizenz umfasst den Variable Font nie. Eine Familienlizenz umfasst ihn nur dort, wo er in der gekauften Option ausdrücklich enthalten ist.

5. Webfont-Nutzung & Hosting

Die Webfont-Nutzung ist unbegrenzt. Wir zählen keine Seitenaufrufe, verkaufen keine Traffic-Stufen, und du musst uns nie Zahlen melden. Das gilt für die Standard- wie für die Extended-Lizenz.

Im Gegenzug hostest du die Schriftdateien selbst, auf deinem eigenen Server oder deiner eigenen Infrastruktur. Font-Hosting-Dienste Dritter — darunter, aber nicht beschränkt auf Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts oder vergleichbare Plattformen — sind nicht zulässig. Die Schriften sind so einzubinden, dass Nutzer die Schriftdateien nicht herunterladen oder extrahieren können.

6. Ethische Nutzung

Die Schriftsoftware darf in keiner Weise genutzt werden, die Folgendes fördert oder unterstützt:

• Rassismus
• Diskriminierung
• Hass
• Gewalt
• oder jede Form entmenschlichender, herabwürdigender oder extremistischer Inhalte

Eine solche Nutzung ist ausdrücklich untersagt und berechtigt uns, diese Lizenz fristlos zu kündigen.

7. Einschränkungen

Nicht zulässig ist es,

• die Schriftdateien weiterzugeben, zu verkaufen, unterzulizenzieren oder zu verbreiten
• die Schrift auf Plattformen Dritter hochzuladen, damit andere sie herunterladen können
• mithilfe der Schriftsoftware eine andere Schrift oder ein anderes Schriftprodukt zu erstellen, abzuleiten oder zu verbreiten
• die Schriftdateien ohne unsere schriftliche Erlaubnis zu verändern, zurückzuentwickeln oder umzubenennen
• die Schrift als eigenes Werk auszugeben

8. Gewährleistung & Haftung

Wir achten darauf, dass die Schriften technisch einwandfrei und mangelfrei sind. Ist eine Datei fehlerhaft, sag uns Bescheid — wir bessern sie nach oder ersetzen sie.

Darüber hinaus haften wir unbeschränkt nur für Schäden, die vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässig verursacht wurden, sowie für die Verletzung von Leben, Körper oder Gesundheit. Bei einfacher Fahrlässigkeit haften wir nur bei Verletzung einer wesentlichen Vertragspflicht, und zwar begrenzt auf den vorhersehbaren, vertragstypischen Schaden. Gesetzliche Rechte von Verbrauchern bleiben unberührt.

9. Laufzeit & Kündigung

Diese Lizenz gilt zeitlich unbegrenzt.

Verstößt du gegen diese Bedingungen, fordern wir dich zur Abhilfe auf und setzen dir dafür eine angemessene Frist. Erst wenn der Verstoß innerhalb dieser Frist nicht behoben wird, dürfen wir die Lizenz kündigen. Die Ausnahme ist die ethische Nutzung nach Abschnitt 6: Ein Verstoß dort berechtigt uns zur fristlosen Kündigung.

Nach der Kündigung musst du die Nutzung der Schriftsoftware einstellen und alle in deinem Besitz befindlichen Kopien löschen.

10. Rechteinhaberschaft

Die Schrift bleibt geistiges Eigentum des Lizenzgebers.
Diese Lizenz räumt ausschließlich Nutzungsrechte ein.

11. Anwendbares Recht

Auf diesen Vertrag ist das Recht der Bundesrepublik Deutschland anwendbar, unter Ausschluss des UN-Kaufrechts. Ist der Lizenznehmer Verbraucher, entzieht ihm diese Rechtswahl nicht den Schutz zwingender Vorschriften des Rechts seines gewöhnlichen Aufenthalts.

Ist der Lizenznehmer Kaufmann, juristische Person des öffentlichen Rechts oder öffentlich-rechtliches Sondervermögen, ist Gerichtsstand Berlin.
