Nishli

Quirky goblin wizards juggle vexed pixies as a wormhole zaps fuzzy dragon jam.

Nishli sits in the sweet spot between neo-grotesque and static industrial fonts like the German DIN typefaces.
Its focus was finding the perfect balance between stark monoline geometry and an optical compensation that smooths out its shapes while remaining nearly unnoticeable. Its low contrast between caps and lowercase — and between the glyphs in general — comes from a monospace heritage and gives it another twist: a little odd and human, while still clean in its industrial modernism.
The extreme weights and widths and a repertoire of alternative glyphs add countless possibilities for display use. It’s a great choice for in-your-face display type — for example, the elegant Hairline or the super-massive Ultra Black, as well as the ultra-expanded cuts. And unlike purely mathematically constructed industrial fonts, it also works as a highly readable text font.
